The framed print
The same archival paper, in a wood frame with plexiglass in front of it. Two sizes, two frame colours, and no mount.
The framed print arrives finished. That is the whole point of it as a gift: nobody has to measure anything, drive to a framer or find out three weeks later what framing costs. It comes at A3 and A2 in black or natural wood.
The two things worth knowing before you order
First, there is no mount. The paper is the same size as the frame's opening, so the picture fills it edge to edge rather than sitting inside a card border. Whatever white space the artwork itself carries is the white space you will see, which is why the line drawing and the blueprint look so composed framed and why a photograph cropped tight to the airframe can feel a little penned in. Check the preview with that in mind.
Second, the glazing is plexiglass rather than glass. That is a deliberate trade. It survives a courier, it will not shatter over a hallway floor, and it weighs a fraction of what glass would on an A2. It also scratches more easily than glass, so clean it with a soft cloth and nothing abrasive.
Which frame
Black is the safe one and it is genuinely safe rather than merely default. It disappears against almost any wall and it flatters a high-contrast photograph or a blueprint, because the frame and the darkest part of the picture agree with each other.
Natural wood is warmer and it earns its place with the vintage travel poster style and with the watercolour, where a black surround can read as heavy. In a room with wooden floors or furniture it stops the piece looking like an office print.
There is no white and no oak here. Both existed in an older list and neither is a frame this catalogue carries, so anything you read elsewhere promising them is out of date.
Why only A3 and A2
Because the archival stock exists framed at those two sizes and not at the others. Rather than quietly swap you onto a different, lighter paper for a bigger frame, we do not offer the bigger frame. If you want the picture larger than A2, the unframed poster runs to 70x100 cm, or a canvas goes to 60x80 cm and needs no frame at all.
Everything else that takes a picture is on on the wall.

Because every item is made to order and personalised, it's exempt from the usual right to cancel once production begins. If an item arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, we'll replace it or refund you — contact us within 30 days.
What kind of photo should I upload?

Upload a photo you took yourself of an aircraft, airport or flight. The clearer and higher-resolution the photo, the better the print. You keep the photo as-is or let our AI restyle it into a blueprint, vintage poster or line drawing.
Do you print airline logos or branded aircraft?
