I run The Aviation Gift Co., a UK studio that makes personalised aviation gifts to order. Nothing is warehoused: a piece is printed after somebody buys it. The brand exists because generic aeroplane merchandise is easy to find and rarely kept, while a picture of one particular airframe usually is.
The writing on this site is mine. The guides, the twelve answers, the recipient collections and the product pages are all written here rather than bought in, and they describe what we actually make. Where a page names a size, a paper or a frame colour, that comes from the catalogue the checkout charges against, so a page can't promise you a product we don't sell.
The rule the answer pages run on
Aviation writing repeats a lot of numbers nobody can trace. My rule for the twelve answers is that a figure carries a citation to whoever actually published it or the figure goes. Three of them went. One page had to abandon the confident three-part explanation everybody gives, because three of us went looking for a regulator or a manufacturer standing behind it and none of us found one.
