Aviation print questions: sizes, photos, delivery and returns

It depends on the format, the size and whether it is framed, and every price includes free UK delivery. Live prices for everything are on the formats page. The watermarked preview of their aircraft is free either way.

Upload one clear aircraft photo and pick one of five styles: blueprint, vintage poster, line drawing, watercolour or oil. Verify your email for three successful previews per day on this website. Each is watermarked and saved for 30 days. When you order, we use the exact selected artwork without the watermark, at an eligible print size or as a digital download.

Type the airport code and the airport name, country and coordinates fill in from our airport list; you can change any line, and you see the layout live before you order. Add the compass-rose backdrop or keep it plain. The print renders at full print resolution from the same layout you previewed.

A clear, well-lit shot with the aircraft as the subject: static displays, airshow passes and apron shots all work. We measure your photo's pixels against the physical size of every print before you pay, and any size that lands under 140 effective dpi is not offered, so you cannot buy one that would arrive soft.

Yes. We use the exact artwork you select, without the watermark. Your chosen product may crop the edges as shown in its preview; a digital download contains the complete artwork.

Unframed paper at A4, A3, A2, 50x70 cm and 70x100 cm on one 250 gsm uncoated archival stock. Framed paper from 30x40 to 50x70 cm in black, white, natural or brown, glazed with perspex and no mount. Canvas at four sizes, framed canvas at three, aluminium at three, plywood at two, plus an 11oz mug, a 500ml bottle and a digital download.

No, there are no gift vouchers or gift cards. If you are not sure what they would choose, the airport-code print needs no photo, a digital file arrives by email, and any print can be sent straight to them.

Send it straight to them: tick "This is a gift" in your bag and enter their address at checkout. The parcel carries no prices or receipt. No message is printed; your note is emailed back to you, ready for a card.

Uploads are used only to produce your preview and your print. Unpurchased uploads are deleted automatically after 30 days. Watermarked previews are saved for 30 days. We never use your photos for anything else.

Airport-code prints, yes: they are set from our standard list of airports, so you can cancel up to 14 days after the day it arrives and send it back unused for a refund (return postage is yours unless it is faulty). Prints made from your photo, in an art style or as it is, and surprise-trip prints made from your details are made to your specification, so the 14-day cancellation right doesn't apply to them (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, reg 28(1)(b)).

You can cancel within 14 days unless you ask us to send the file at once and confirm you lose that right. Your bag asks you to tick a box doing exactly that, so the file can be emailed as soon as payment clears.

Tell us as soon as you can at hello@aviation-gifts.com with your order reference and a photo. Within 30 days you can reject it for a full refund; after that you still have your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We reprint or refund at our cost.
