How much does a print cost? +
It depends on the format, the size and whether it is framed, and every price includes free UK delivery. Live prices for everything are on the formats page. The watermarked preview of their aircraft is free either way.
How does the aircraft print work? +
Upload one clear aircraft photo and pick one of five styles: blueprint, vintage poster, line drawing, watercolour or oil. Verify your email for three successful previews per day on this website. Each is watermarked and saved for 30 days. When you order, we use the exact selected artwork without the watermark, at an eligible print size or as a digital download.
How does the airport-code print work? +
Type the airport code, the airport name and (optionally) the country and coordinates: you see the layout live before you order. Add the compass-rose backdrop or keep it plain. The print renders at full print resolution from the same layout you previewed.
What photo should I use? +
A clear, well-lit shot with the aircraft as the subject: static displays, airshow passes and apron shots all work. We measure your photo's pixels against the physical size of every print before you pay, and any size that lands under 150 effective dpi is simply not offered, so you cannot buy one that would arrive soft.
Will the printed artwork look like the preview? +
Yes. We use the exact artwork you select, without the watermark. Your chosen product may crop the edges as shown in its preview; a digital download contains the complete artwork. If the artwork is clearly wrong, you get one free regeneration within 24 hours.
What sizes and formats can I order? +
Unframed paper at A4, A3, A2, 50x70 cm and 70x100 cm on one 250 gsm uncoated archival stock. Framed paper at A3 and A2 in black or natural wood, glazed with plexiglass and no mount. Canvas at four sizes, framed canvas at three, aluminium at three, plywood at two, plus an 11oz mug, a 500ml bottle and a digital download.
How long does delivery take? +
Each piece is made to order in the UK: production takes 2–4 working days, then delivery 2–5 working days. Most UK orders arrive within a week. Ordering for a birthday or Christmas? Order a week and a half ahead to be safe.
What do you do with my uploaded photos? +
Uploads are used only to produce your preview and your print. Unpurchased uploads are deleted automatically after 30 days. Watermarked previews are saved for 30 days. We never use your photos for anything else.
Can I return a personalised gift? +
If your order arrives damaged or wrong, we reprint or refund: photos within 30 days to orders@aviation-gifts.com. Because personalised items are made to your specification, the usual 14-day cancellation right doesn't apply once production starts (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, reg 28(1)(b)): but if the artwork is clearly wrong, you get one free regeneration within 24 hours.
