About The Aviation Gift Co.

The Aviation Gift Co. exists for the one who looks up every time a plane goes over. The type they fly, the classic they queued three hours to photograph, the home airport whose code they know by heart: that's what belongs on their wall.

Upload a photo and we restyle it in one of five styles (technical blueprint, vintage travel poster, ink line drawing, watercolour or golden-hour oil), with a free watermarked preview before you spend a penny. Or we'll print the photo exactly as it is, with the file checked against every size we sell before you pay. No photo? The airport-code print sets their code huge in navy with the name and coordinates beneath.

Everything is made to order (prints, frames, canvas, metal, mugs) and posted with free UK delivery. Nothing sits in a warehouse; nothing is printed until someone's favourite aircraft is going on a wall.

How the prints are made

Every order is printed and shipped by one of our two print partners after you place it. Paper prints go onto 250 gsm uncoated, off-white archival stock. Framed prints have no mount and are glazed with perspex, in black, white, natural or brown, and canvases arrive stretched, with a fixing kit for the wall. Before a size is offered, your photo's pixels are checked against the physical print size, and a size the file cannot carry is not sold. UK delivery takes 4 to 9 working days.

Who writes the guides

The guides and question pages are written by Craig Fearn. Every figure names where it came from, from the CAA, the FAA and NASA to airport operators and museums, with the link beside the claim. Where a popular explanation has no primary source, the page says so. Photographs on the guides come from Wikimedia Commons and public-domain collections, credited under each picture.

How each order is checked

Three checks happen before anything is printed. Your photo's pixels are measured against each physical size, and a size the file cannot carry is never offered. With the art styles you see a free watermarked preview, and the print uses that exact picture once you approve it. The aircraft always comes from your photo, never from a description, so its shape and markings are worth a close look in the preview. The airport code print shows its layout as you type the code, the name and the coordinates. Only then does the order go to the print partner that makes your product, who prints it and ships it to a UK address.

What we won't do

  • Sell licensed logos or official merchandise. Nothing here is endorsed by an airline, a manufacturer or an air force.
  • Add an airline livery or a registration that isn't already in your photo.
  • Put badges, roundels or squadron crests on a print.
  • Keep your upload longer than our terms say: uploads and previews are deleted on the schedule set out there.

Every upload is graded and previewed before anything is printed.

Yes. It's run by Craig Fearn, a UK sole trader trading as The Aviation Gift Co., as our terms state, and post reaches us at 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. Card payments go through Stripe's checkout, so your card details never reach this site. If an order arrives damaged, misprinted or wrong, we reprint or refund it at our cost; tell us as soon as you can, with photos, at hello@aviation-gifts.com. The detail is on delivery and returns.
